The Houston Business and Estate Planning Council was incorporated in 1982 as an organization exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is operated exclusively for exempt purposes and no part of its net earnings inure to the benefit of any private member, director or individual. No part of its activities involve carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and it does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office.
